I am curious about nearly everything. The only thing I love more than learning and applying new knowledge,or skills is teaching them. Few things in life light me up more than seeing someone achieve their potential in something they're passionate about. Seeing the lights of understanding and ability go on in someone I've mentored or taught is the best.
As a student myself, I have been fortunate to learn from some truly world-renowned masters. People in various disciplines, some of which you're probably familiar with and some you might not be. I am grateful to have stood on the shoulders of giants, without whose generosity in sharing their knowledge I wouldn't be where I am. Several of them told me that when I reached that point in my own career, I was to put back in the same way. Pass what I knew to others. To the next generation of artists and creators. I teach because I love it and because of a promise.
At various points in my professional career, I have taught as adjunct faculty as well as a stint as Visual Communications Department Chair at a design college. Along the way I have guest lectured at schools and universities and conducted workshops in academia as well as private enterprise. More recently, I have been publishing modular online training courses available to the general public. I love creating these and have more in various stages of development.
